Bookings and CANCELLATIONS

BOOKINGS & CANCELLATIONS

You will be asked to tick to confirm that you have read and agreed to these T&C's on your booking form.  Please ensure that you have fully read and understood them.  Any questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.

BOOKINGS & CANCELLATIONS POLICIES

BOOKINGS:

Due to the limited availability of spaces, especially when previous clients are continuing with their training and the need to book venues for group classes, your place is not confirmed until you have made the course payment. I can hold your place for 3 days week, after which I shall allow someone else to book, unless I have heard otherwise from you.  This enables me to ensure that the spaces are filled, rather than get to the start date and have no client for that slot due to a client cancelling very last minute.

For continuing clients, I ask that you let me know if you wish to continue your training by week 4 of 6, especially if you would like the same slot.  The same booking policy as above applies.

Please note: if you book an Initial 1-2-1 when a behaviour consult is required, I will need to postpone the session due to a more detailed questionnaire being required and possible vet check.  This ensures that we are able to give you and your dog the best possible outcome.  If the postponement happens close to the session or upon arrival I may need to charge postponement fees to cover my costs and loss of work.  If the postponement happens during the session, the fees will be charged as per an initial 1-2-1 and you will be given some behaviour management advice.  If it is pre session then it will be reduced to £50.  Please ensure that you make the correct booking for your needs.

CANCELLATIONS:

Behaviour Consults and Initial 1-2-1 Sessions:

If you change your mind about a behaviour consult within the first 48 hours of booking, I am happy to refund 90% of the consult cost (10% admin).  If sessions need to be postponed, for whatever reason, this can be done without any additional cost for up to 3 days before the session.  In certain circumstances, I reserve the right to use my discretion when it comes to postponements with less than 3 days notice.

In the event of cancellation due to unforeseeable circumstances, such as medical emergencies or weather/environmental problems making it unsafe to travel or conduct the consultation, you will be offered the opportunity to have the consult remotely via Zoom video conferencing.  If you do not wish to have your session in this manner, I am happy to give credit voucher refunds for use once it is mutually suitable to carry out your in-person session.

Puppy, Beginner, or Continuation Courses:

If cancelled more than 2 weeks before the start date, I will offer a 90% refund (10% for admin). 1 to 2 weeks before the start date and I will offer a 50% refund of the session fees,  if cancelled 1 week or less before the start date we will be unable to offer a refund.  This is due to it being too short notice to fill the slot and, more often than not, we will have already turned someone away for the same slot.  Once a course has begun and you have access to resources, there is no refund available.

In the event of cancellation due to unforeseeable circumstances, such as medical emergencies or weather/environmental problems making it unsafe to travel or conduct the training session, you will be offered the opportunity to have the consult remotely via Zoom video conferencing.  If you do not wish to have your session in this manner, I am happy to give credit voucher refunds for use once it is mutually suitable to carry out your in-person session.

Clients on Courses:

Once your course has started there is a no refund policy, do to it being too late to fill the space.  I may be able to move the day / time of your booking, depending on availability.

Please note:

If, for some reason, we have agreed for you to pay for your slot / course at a later date and kept a slot reserved for you, the above cancellation policy still applies and, if you have not yet made a payment, you will still be invoiced as above.  Again, this is due to the inability to fill places at such short notice and it resulting in a loss of income, which isn't fair on any small business.  Most other courses / seminars have a no refunds policy from the start.

Please note: if you book an Initial 1-2-1 when a behaviour consult is required, we will need to postpone the session due to a more detailed questionnaire being required and possible vet check.  This ensures that we are able to give you and your dog the best possible outcome.  If the postponement happens close to the session or upon arrival we may need to charge postponement fees to cover our costs and loss of work.  If the postponement happens during the session, the fees will be charged as per an initial 1-2-1 and you will be given some behaviour management advice.  If it is pre session then it will be reduced to £50.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Helen Gerard
